Tribe Yoga

This dynamic practice links breath and movement through a creative series of postures designed to build strength, increase flexibility, and cultivate mindfulness. The practice incorporates invigorated asana practice, pranayama breathing exercises and meditation, The postures include stretching, twists, balancing poses, backbends and some inversions. Influenced by Dharma Hatha yoga and Ashtanga-Vinyasa with traditional yogic philosophy and meditation. Tribe yoga is more than the physical practice. it leaves you feeling strong and centered. Suitable for every-body ready to move, sweat, and challenge themselves

Dharma Yoga

Dharma Yoga is a modern interpretation of classical Eight-Limbed Yoga, deeply rooted in ethical principles. It blends Ashtanga-Vinyasa, inversions, and held postures (Hatha) to cultivate focus, meditation, inner contentment, and deep relaxation. Founded by Sri Dharma Mittra in 1975, Dharma Yoga is a complete practice that promotes radiant health, inner peace, and ultimately, self-realization. It remains deeply traditional while adapting to the pace of modern life. This class is open to all levels, with a strong foundation in essential postures and breathwork. Vinyasa Rocket

Rocket yoga is a vinyasa flow sequence of postures based on the traditional Ashtanga Primary and Intermediate series. This sequence is full of back bends, spinals twists, and has a lot of opportunities for inversions and arm balances that keep the energy high and encourage students to connect to their inner power. This is a practice for all level that offers modifications for beginners and challenging variations for advanced practitioners.

Heal & Release: Yin Yoga + Sound Bath
Heal & Release is a harmonious blend of slow-paced Yin Yoga followed by a deeply restorative Sound Bath. The class begins with passive, long-held Yin postures that target the body’s connective tissues, encouraging relaxation and releasing built-up stress and tension. Props like bolsters and blankets are used to enhance comfort, encouraging a sense of safety and support. The class emphasizes mindful breathing and may include guided meditations, creating a calming atmosphere. After the physical practice, participants settle into stillness for a Sound Bath meditation featuring crystal singing bowls, Tibetan bowls, chimes, and shakers, allowing the vibrations to guide them into a profound state of calm and meditation. Breathwork and Meditation
The Art of Pranayama– Breathwork is an active meditation practice that uses a repetitive breath pattern to drop into an altered state. A powerful self-healing practice, breathwork can help you shift out of old patterns, confront limiting beliefs, and move stuck emotions. Regular practice allows you to experience more clarity, bliss, and presence. Discover the transformative power of conscious breathing in this ongoing weekly class rooted in ancient Pranayama teachings. We’ll explore foundational breathwork techniques step-by-step, beginning with simple, accessible practices to improve lung capacity, balance the nervous system, and cultivate inner steadiness. Each session will include: Breath Awareness – cultivating sensitivity to the natural rhythm of your breath Foundational Techniques – abdominal, intercostal, and full thoracic breathing Classical Practices – gentle introduction to Nadi Shodhana (alternate nostril breathing) and other traditional methods Breath Ratios & Counting – to regulate and refine your breathing pattern Guided Relaxation – to integrate the benefits of practice This class is designed for beginners and for anyone wishing to deepen their relationship with the breath. Over time, you’ll build a sustainable home practice, experience greater calm and focus, and access the profound stillness that lies beyond the mind’s constant activity. No prior experience is needed. Please wear comfortable clothing and avoid eating a heavy meal and caffeine 1–2 hours before class.
Yoga Nidra
Yoga Nidra is a meditative practice that creates space for your mind, body and soul to tap into a deep state of conscious relaxation and rejuvenation. It helps you release tension physically, mentally and emotionally, tapping into the inner bliss of one’s true self. Yoga Nidra means Yogic Sleep. It is a state of conscious Deep Sleep. In Meditation, you remain in the Waking state of consciousness, and gently focus the mind, while allowing thought patterns, emotions, sensations, and images to arise and go on.
However, in Yoga Nidra, you leave the Waking state, go past the Dreaming state, and go to Deep Sleep, yet remain awake. While Yoga Nidra is a state that is very relaxing, it is also used by Yogis to purify the Samskaras, the deep impressions that are the driving force behind actions.It brings an incredible calmness, quietness and clarity. It is one of the deepest of all meditations, leading awareness through many levels of mental process to a state of stillness and insight. The Vision Behind Indigo Tribe Yoga
ZaoChan Yap (500 E-RYT) influenced by her Asian heritage, her style of teaching is traditional yet invigorating. In her class, Zao effortlessly blends ancient wisdom, alignment cues, humor and carefully curated music. An energetic practice that leads to enteral bliss. Zao is a dedicated disciple of Sri Dharma Mittra and 1000hr certified instructor. She constantly improves her teaching through trainings with David Kyle (Rocket Yoga), Kino McGregor, Tim Feldman and Eddie Stern, Ashtanga Yoga and adjustment guided by Mariangel Remore. She is a certified TCM Nutritionist, sound healer, meditation and breathe-work coach.
As an immigrant moving to the states alone, her dream is to create a sanctuary where people come together through yoga and discover peace and harmony, this is why she created Indigo Tribe Yoga.
Prior to her yogi path, Zao spent over 10 years working in finance and real estate industries. She helps people who struggle with their mind and body to rebuild a sustainable routine that will fit into their daily life, furthermore, to live a healthy, productive and fulfilling lifestyle.
