Practice at Indigo Tribe

Practice at Indigo Tribe

Group yoga class practicing standing balance poses at Indigo Tribe in New Yorkโ€™s Financial District.

Indigo Tribe is a traditional yoga studio in NYC's Financial District, created for practitioners who value lineage, intention, and depth.

Our classes span Dharma, Ashtanga, Rocket, Vinyasa, Yin, breathwork, meditation, and Pilates โ€” taught with care, precision, and respect for the practice.

We built Indigo Tribe as an alternative to fast-paced, fitness-first classes: a more intimate space for thoughtful instruction, mindful exploration, and long-term practice.

Whether you're beginning or deepening an established practice, the goal is to create space to move, breathe, learn, and keep going deeper.

A dynamic practice derived from Ashtanga, designed to make its poses and transitions more playful and accessible. A fixed framework, with room for experimentation. Build energy and strength.

Yin

Yoga students resting in supported poses during a Yin yoga class at Indigo Tribe.

A slow, floor-based practice built around longer holds. Targets deeper connective tissues while creating space for stillness and attention. For students looking to slow down, and improve mobility.

Pilates

Students practicing Pilates core exercises during a group class at Indigo Tribe.

A precise, low-impact practice centered on core strength, control, posture, and alignment. Intentional repetition, small muscular actions, and full-body integration to build strength. A great complement to yoga.
